Digital Painting and Video of the Process

On my last post I had just started painting the image on the left. It took about two weeks of working on and off on the picture, about eight hours all together.

I also posted a video on YouTube where I explain how I developed the image and what my thoughts and challenges were as I worked on it. I post the video below as well.

Preliminary Pencil Drawing and Digital painting

I'm lucky to work where I do. I'm am right in the middle of a big tourist area in lower Manhattan. There is almost always something interesting to see. Street performers, ceremonies, cultural events, etc.
I walk around like a tourist, camera in hand, ready to record what seems interesting to me.

I would like to make a watercolor or oil painting of this image. Lately I've been struggling a great deal with my work so I thought it would be best to make a pencil drawing before I start to paint.

In the mean time I also started this digital painting of the same musician. The digital painting is a work in progress, I still have a bit of work to do on this.
